Why Worry About Your Competitors?

It's a good question, and the answer is, "You don't", at least if you've differentiated your business effectively so that you have no competitors.

Because if your USP is really strong, no one else can touch you.
(We'll look at your USP at a later date.)

However, that doesn't mean you can't learn from other people, even if it's only from how stupidly they are behaving.

You see, everyone makes mistakes, and nobody gets everything right, however hard they try. But most people will get something right and some people will get a lot of things right.

You can learn from all those people, and from their mistakes, cock-ups and successes, as long as you know where to look and how to 'read' what you see.

How do you do that?

Well, there's a bit more to competitor analysis than I can fit into a blog post.

But that's no problem, because it's all right here.

So the best way by far to get and stay one step ahead is to learn everything you can about what the competition is up to - then do it better.
