Local SEO in Suffolk

One of the things we teach and train Suffolk business owners and their employees in is SEO, or Search Engine Optimisation, and if there's one thing our new website SEO Suffolk shows you, it's that we know what we're talking about!

The search term "SEO Suffolk" is surprisingly hard-fought, with lots of reputable and skilled marketing and website companies competing for it, usually with a page using that phrase in its title and on-page copy.

So, building a brand new website to compete with all these established sites was either brave or foolish. It can take two or three months to get onto the top pages for a competitive term, and that means a lot of work. Meanwhile, the company's expertise in SEO could be undermined in some people's eyes by the lack of results. Nonetheless, we went ahead and bought the domain name SEO-Suffolk.co.uk last Wednesday, 11th January and started building the site last Friday evening, the 13th (eek!).

The site was ready for Google to index by midnight Friday, had all its current pages by the end of Saturday and had analytics and a few other plug ins added on Sunday. By Saturday afternoon Google had indexed it and by Sunday afternoon it had reached page three on Google...

And it was very gratifying to see our new baby, http://www.SEO-Suffolk.co.uk, only three days old, already at the top of page two this morning, Monday 16 January. Of course, it's early days and there's lots of work to do with design and sharpening up the copy, but with tons of potential for optimising it for other valuable phrases, we have to be happy with progress so far:
